What we collect, why, and what we do with it.

We are a two-person chameleon breeding operation, not a data business. We collect the details you send us so we can reply to you and arrange a consultation. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

Only what you choose to send us. Typically that means:
If you go on to buy an animal, we will also hold the shipping details needed to get it to you, and a record of the sale.
We will not add you to a marketing list without asking, and we do not send unsolicited email.
Payments are processed by Square. Your card details go directly to Square and are never seen, handled or stored by us. Square’s own privacy policy governs how they handle that information.
This site is a set of static pages. It does not set tracking cookies and does not run advertising or analytics scripts.
We do load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when a page loads. Your standard web request information, including your IP address, is visible to Google as part of that.
Our contact form works by opening your own email application with the details filled in. Nothing is submitted to a server on this website; you send us an ordinary email.
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only where we have to:
Inquiries that do not lead anywhere are kept for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, then deleted. Sales records are kept as long as we need them for tax, legal and animal-record purposes.
Email us at info@ectotherminc.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Chameleons can be wonderful family animals, but the purchasing adult is who we will deal with.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
